Intern Position at Corporate Advanced Engineering

Job Description: We are looking for a graduate student intern with a background in mechanical or electrical engineering, who is familiar with Matlab/Simulink and has experience in modeling and control. The intern will work on the modeling of microgrids and perform simulation analysis of different control strategies as part of an advanced development project team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine models of microgrid systems using Matlab/Simulink.
  • Perform simulation analysis to evaluate the performance of various control strategies.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to integrate models into larger system simulations.
  • Analyze simulation results and provide recommendations for system improvements.
  • Document modeling and simulation processes and results.
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of technical report outs.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a graduate program in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Matlab/Simulink.
  • Experience in modeling and control of dynamic systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with microgrid modeling and control.
  • Familiarity with renewable energy systems and power electronics.
  • Knowledge of data analytics and machine learning.
